Expedition 98 parts that fits into explorer 98

Hello:

I have a friend who is parting out an expedition 98, I wonder about if seats will fit in my XLT 98 (driver seat is litte teared). what parts would fit into a Explorer?

To my knowledge not a lot will switch over. The Expedition is based on the F150 while the Explorer is still based on a Ranger. I don't know if the seats will swap or not but I would doubt it; possibly the cushions will though if you mount them on the Explorer tracks. Wheels are a different bolt pattern too and drivetrain is all full size stuff so it wouldn't be an easy swap. The motor, be it a 4.6 or 5.4, could possibly swap into an Explorer with some work, but it's not an easy task if you're starting with a V6. Also the earlier Expedition motors (Pre-99) made less power than the later ones.
