Im about to buy a bodykit for my 98 explorer sport and I found one that is a nice looking bodykit but there are a few things I dont like about it. The front bumper looks like it comes out alittle to far from the grill and the front end of the explorer, and Id really like to be able to keep my class 3 trailor hitch so I can still tow a small trailor and it looks like this rear bumper would come down to far to still use it. Is it just me or do you guys agree with my thoughts on it? Does anyone know of anyother bodykits for the 95-99 explorer that look good? Id be happy just getting a roll pan for my explorer rear bumper but with the new custom paint, and the entire thing shaved, I dont think the stock front bumper would look right on it. Any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions?
This is the bodykit Im thinking about buying unless I can find a different bodykit or idea of what I can do to make it look better.

The good thing is that most body kits are made from either some sort of plastic, fiberglass, or whatever -- so you can modify it to whatever you have in mind with a little bit of work.

I think you'll have a problem with the hitch, but not sure...

Too bad the Saleen kit is no longer available, I would love to have it. :)

Xenon Kit (mild kit to me)Other places sell this too, I've seen it before..

Andys Auto Sports Has the kit you are looking at cheaper by Silk Automotive, also have the Xenon kit, and has the Duraflex branded kit your looking at. (multiple companies made that 'platinum' kit.)

Only two I can find, they make a nice looking one for 02-05, but it would need a good amount of customizing to make it fit. Not sure how much working you're looking to put into it.

Not looking to spend $3500 at all on a bodykit but thanks alot for the link. I would love to see what that bodykit looks like thought. Ive never seen one.

Thanks alot for the pics. That is a really nice looking bodykit. Really clean looking, and I like that more than the other kit I was looking at. But I still dont see how anyone would ever spend $3500 on a bodykit like that. Am I the only one who thinks thats rediculasly overpriced?

They only made 200 saleen xp8's, and just a few body kit parts-then broke the molds.

You will never see this kit for sale again. It is your last chance. So, is 3500 still high?

Not if you have a wrecked xp8:D

exactly.. i would buy it, just to make a mold of it and sell reproduction parts.

I think that would be a copyright infringement.

You could alter the parts slightly.

True, and if someone did, then I would be up for one. :) I would have been up for one even if not altered anyways, lol.

I was just saying that you could get in trouble by doing a mold of the exact part.

its easier to ask forgiveness than to ask permission. ;)

Ive always wanted to see a 1998 Cobra front bumper molded to a Mountaineer front bumper cover, running foglights and everything. If my front gets tweaked in a fender bender or anything, Im trying that!
