Brooklyn do you have any ideas on this?

I also need to know something about a leak that could be in the center section?

The center support seals? The center support seals are probably the most susceptible to damage while they are being installed. There are several ways to successfully install them without damaging anything. You could either be careful to align them properly, use plastic seal protectors, or use Glacier's trick of putting it into the freezer. Lubegard sells special alignment cones, and a freeze spray. I just install them with assembly lube grease, and be as careful as I could without forcing them into place.

Well this is our third al4d and we have never had this prob before. Never had to pull it after its build. Always worked first try.

This one has been pure heck.

Well its been over a month and we have fought and fought to get this tranny back together.

New parts after new parts. Everything checked out this time but it still had to have a high rev to get it moving.

We are worried that when we recived the wrong TC which broke that pump that it warped the bellhousing and case. Its the last thing that has not been replaced.

oh ill sit down now and scan those in the computer and get them up in a new thread for them.

Well we are going to pull the vb one more time and check it out again. And i never tried a vb from Glacier?

Have you seen this book before?

Glacier has loaner valve bodies which he could send you with a depot, and on the condition that you use clean fluid. If it's really a valve body problem, then you have two choices. Either you could pay the difference, and buy the valve body from him, or you could send it back to him along with your valve body for him to inspect, and repair. Another option is to have Central Valve Bodies check, and possibly repair your valve body. EF members get a discount. I saw this book. I have it as well as the update manual, and the Ford 3 ring binder.

Ok well we first got the print out from fords. I say you already have them if you have the binder from ford. They took them out of there book and made my dad copies.

Then a tranny shop gave us this till we get it back running

Oh Brooklyn we are going throught the vb again tomm and hoping to find something.

If now what would you look for next.

Humm not didnt think that there could be a prob because we pulled the truck off the road after it slipped once.

Will add this to the list.

Well we didnt flush it because it was fresh fluid in the last 1000 miles. It was flused then. The fluid was still in good color and consistincy.

Explorer still down.....

Still takes higher revs to get it going. Been having probs since the bad tc and broken pump thanks to the bad tc.

We are now replacing the tranny case and center section

Well we did everything we could to get it running.

We fought and fought to get it working. It took a bellhousing, main case, and center support to get it to work.

Wow
I never heard of such a thing.
Most people would have thrown in the towel and taken it to a shop. I hope this means it's running again.
