Sorry to put this on another thread but i got no feedback - Does anyone have an opinion on the 5.0L spark plug wires on Explorer Express?? They seem like a decent deal, and I figured they can't be horrible if Explorer Express stocks them.....:p:

thank you

Personally
I have no problems at all woith factory wires. There are better places to look for performance products also. Try one of the site vendors for instance.

I have received excellent service from James at
www.hensonperformance.com

the thing is i'm lookin for some cheap quick performance, nothing serious. Like anybody else i'd love to go all out but i simply can't afford to. I just wanted a lil more power so i was hoping for some more feedback on these wires.....

I don't see a thing to gain from them.
JMHO
your stock wires are 8mm, which should be good to 60,000 volts. Your coilpacks reach 40,000 max.
Now-if you were revving to 7,000 rpm's and getting mis fires, then yes.

I can run my engine to 6k with new tuning, and never had a single misfire stored, or, displayed.

Save your money for Tuning--

ok thanks
