My friend has a 97 Expedition that some one broke into for system and they purposely hacked his dash up with a knife or something, Question is I was thinking and if he was to replace the dash with one from a junk yard wouldnt you be running around with the wrong vin # plate or is that not attatched to the dash? That could cause problems.

I thinks its seperate from the dash and its actually on the frame up there. Bestway to tell is to go to the junk yard since its a must that he needs the dash.
