Extremely noob jack stand question

For a good deal of my SAS my truck was support by a set of short 2 ton jack stands. Bad Medicine

I got a set of 6 ton jackstands from TSC and love them. I have two, one on each frame rail just behind where the bumper mounts and they work great! They aren't expensive either...I think 15 or 20 bucks each.

well i think this thread might help someone else too, whos too afraid to ask lol! good info on here. i ended up stacking 8 4"x6"x1' blocks (4 on each side alternately stacked) up on the front rails, and threw a couple stands on the frame rails under the drivers door. they have a little pressure but not much.

i always leave my tires under the truck as a failsafe.
