I just installed my new PIAA Platinum head light bulbs and my clearcorners and platinum turning signals should be here any day. So where can i find clearish-blue bulbs for my factory foglights to match my headlights. i already tried the ones listed in the PIAA catalog but i have a weird style bulb. An 899 bulb any suggestions, could it be the lenses that i need to replace?

Hey Sport, I've got the platinum series for my headlights too. But never heard or seen them for the turn signals. What is the part no. for them? I would like to look them up. As for the 899 foglights, am looking for something different too and no luck all in the aftermarkets.

My factory fog lights kept going out: they were badly sealed and the bulbs kept blowing when they got wet. Ford wanted way too much to replace them, so I got some amber fog lights from Pilot. I can give you the model number if you want. They have round hemisphere lenses that look blue when off, they shine a real nice amber. Pilot also makes some that shine blue. I mounted them under the bumper about 3 inches on either side of the license plate. The kit was $60.

I know you're looking for replacements for the factory lights, but think about this the next time your bulbs blow.

Actually, come to think of it, Explorer Express has some PIAA factory replacement units that are blue I think.... Hmm, they're combo fog/driving lights and they cost way too much! Go to Autozone and look at the Pilots, they're great!

I ran into the same problem as you, I had the clear corners, hyperwhite turnsignals/markers, but those darn foglights were still that dull clear. Anyways, I spoke with a few people at LUKS of Lighting Research Inc. and found out that they make a blue/white 899 bulb. Unfortunately they don't have a website and don't sell direct to the public, so you'd have to find an aftermarket parts store that sells their products. Don't fret though, I also came across a website that sells a blue/white 50w 899 replacement bulb: Competition Limited www.htnews.com/comptltd/parts.html
Hope this helps, I must admit adding those bulbs really finished off the look for my truck.

Hay S.97 S., I'd have to agree with Alec on replaceing the fog lights. I also used the Pilot 704 "Truck" projector type for lights.
They were about $60 from Auto Zone. I put the in the same location as the factory lights and used the same bracket although I hads to cut the bracket and trim the opening in the bumper cover. I also increased the wattage of the bulbs to 90 from 55.
They realy light up the area but the projector lens keeps it out of on comming drivers eyes. I tried unsuccesfully to use the factory switch since I wanted them on at any time either alone or with the brites. Had to put in another switch that came with the lights. Best $60 I've spent as the lights look and feel like the PIAA 910 driving lights on my car.
