This is a question for those who are running 35" or larger tires. I would like to fit 35's w/out a body lift. I have a 92 4 door with a 5.5" lift. I was jsut wondering how much sheet metal I am going to remove, or is a bodylift the only way to go?

Well, the easiest way to fit 35s is fiberglass fenders or you can e-mail Perry hes got the 5.5" lift with 35s on. Lots of whackin!!!!:)

Are you able to retain the inner plastic fenderwells with the perry's front fenders?

I think alot of people just use rubber. Kinda like lift lips but bigger to protect the motor and stuff. Or you could buy the fenders and trim the plastic back enough to work for you.

Its all personal preference.:)

Here's my article on fitting 35's with only 4.5" of lift on a newer model (it will be a little different for an older model I imagine):

I have perry's front fenders. I was going to go with 33's bfg muds but maybe I'll go 35's. I'm going to have 5-6" of lift. I know I will have to regear but can the 35's fit in the rear at full stuff?

By the way, in the front I just trimmed back the inner black plastic thing up to the corner of the side wal of the engine compartment. The coverage is still the same for engine protection, you just won't look gay with a plastic piece hanging down. I also painted the wheelwell and stuff in there black.

the above referenced PERRY is the member with the sn of perry, who buys wrecked trucks and fixes them, is married to teri and has a son named patrick..... not perry mcniel of www.perrysfabnfiber.com

Yep I have the Superlft 5.5" suspension lift with a 3" body lift. No fender cutting and runnin 35s. I rub very little at full stuff. I've got the fiberglass fenders but still waiting on the right tire size for me. I'm thinkin I might go 37s. I'm just curious how they'll stuff in the rear though.

Hey-do you have the rear fenders too? Can I fit 35's w/ just the superlift or do I have to get a body lift too? Spanks
That depends on whether the Sawzall is your friend or not. ;) . . . i.e. whether you are willing to trim.

Hmmm...so what exactly would I have to trim? and would this guarantee no rubbage? Cuz if I'm sawing **** on my car I don't want there to be chafage after I do all this ir-reversible crap.

You'd be trimming the actual fender and the plastic backing. Well just the bottom of it. Just cut out 2" of fender then take it out and see if you clear. If you don't go back and cut out another inch. Easy as pie!!!

Yes it is but well worth the money. IMO anyways.

4.56 gears are perfect for all around with 35s. You'll love it after gears and lockers are installed.:D

I have 4.56s in mine but I'm going lower. 4 low is pretty low but 5.13s are really really low. 5.13s with an Atlas II!! Thats what I call insanely low!!

Not exactly. Local 4x4 shop is a silent sponsor.:)

85% off anything I order and have them install. Nice but sucks cause I like doing my own installs.
