Hey there

I want to put a Flowmaster system on my 99 XLT V8. I want to make it dual and I have a single now. Is that going to be difficult or should i be all set just about. Feedback is great.

Thanks

Many of us removed our spare tires when we went with duals because there isn't much space between the gas tank and the spare on the driver's side.

I personally wouldn't risk leaving it in place.

If you click the 4 wheel chirp link in my sig, you can hear what it will sound like
However, I have since removed the dual out, and gone back to a single.
While it can be done--the tight clearance on driver side tailpipe, primarily between the spare tire and fuel lines, was less than I was comfortable with.
I am now convinced a single tailpipe is fine--unless you want to exceed 400 hp.

Alright thanks guys. thats basically what i thought

I have dual flows on my 01 sport and i stare got the spare tire underneth my sport.

For some reason one of my flows keeps rattling i am assuming they didnt tighten the bolt or something came loose.

But other than that my 01 sport sounds mean and loud and tough.

I removed my spare on my 96 XLT V8 and have a dual catback to a single 2 in, 2 out straight through Magnaflow muffler. I love the look and sound but for my girlfriend, the exhaust that I am getting her for Christmas, she wants it loud like my mustang and loves the look of the dual exhaust.

Does the single exit change the sound at all though?

I would like her to keep her spare tire. For her sake and mine(if I get a flat I can call her and use her spare).

I dont think she will go for the single exit. So I think we were thinking either dual 40 series flows or dual straight through magnaflows that I have on my stang, like same part # and everything, and a h-pipe built in front of the mufflers.
