anyone know how to rewire the stock fog lights to only come on when the head lights com on only. i dont like them to be on when the parking lights are just on only untill headlights turn on

it sounds like you need to do a reverse of the Fog light mod... that is what most of us want our fogs on without the lights.. look at the sticky about fog light mod 99-01.. that may shed some light

i actually did read that thread before i posted this one i tryed to look for the relays under the air box, found it but there are no relays in there. there is only one and its not for the fogs lights, there must be a big difference betweeen '01 4 door and 2 door

First start by tracing the Fog Light Wires from the Lights to where ever they connect; write it down on paper and mark the wires.

Tracing the wires may take a little while but afterwards you will have a better understanding of your light's wiring.

Once you can tell us where the wires are connected we can start to help you do a little rewiring.

If you find a relay make sure to mark down what connection number the lights are connected to.

Again, start at the lights work toward the engine compartment.
Hopefully you will find a Relay or a spliced wire.
If a relay see if the Fogs are the only lights connected.
if a splice, find out what else is connected to the wire.

Sometimes when aftermarket lights are installed or if someone rewires the y tend to forget about Relay use and start splicing wires hoping all hold together.


Take your time, document everything even if it isn't needed and it will work out !
