Hey guys I have a 2000 Eddie Bauer. I thought this year the fogs would come on with the parking lights, but they do not. Do they Need to be modified? I have searched and can't wind any definate answer, or write up on my year.

There is a button on the center console that you press and they will come on with the other lights. Lower-right one...

If the switch is on and they're not on, something is up- mine come on with the parking lights...

The fog lights work fine while low beams are on. The fog light switch is on. They just won't come on with the parking lights. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Question: Fog lights don't come on with parking lights??
Answer: Because fog isnt a problem when you are parked :p:

But to be serious, that's how my 98 was - fogs only come on during low beam.

So no ideas?

The idea is to modify the wiring.

I think there was a write up on one of the mustang forums awhile back cause the sn95's were like that. The new edge were change to come on w/ the park lights if I recall correctly. The explorers may be the same way.

The 98s and up can have the fogs on with the parking lights, I can't think why yours wouldn't work...maybe someone messed with the wiring and messed it up.

It is a one owner truck when I bought it, wouldn't think anyone messed with the wiring

Well im not sure...does anyone think it could possibly be a faulty relay? Allowing them to come on when the low beams are on, but not when its just the parking lights? Its either the 98 or the 99 when they switched it to where they can come on with just the pk. lights. I drive in my 00' Limited like that most of the time and ive seen quite a few other 2nd gens doing it too.

The fog lamp relay is in the fuse box under the hood correct? For the 2000s anyways? I might try that.

The relay is under the hood, but I believe theres actually a different box under the hood, I may be wrong but I thought there was the fusebox by the brake booster, and then another box of relays more towards the air filter.

My 2001 EB has the fog lights come on with the parking lights when that switch is pressed.

any idea on how to do this?? i just got rid of the original switch that turns the fog lights on an off and switched to a much smaller rocker switch but im not quite sure which wire is the relay theres like a wire thats light blue with black stripe and the other is a light brown with an orange stripe??

removed what i wrote I was wrong.

My 98, the fogs don't come on w/ the parking lights. It was probably switched in 99 when they made minor changes.

my 2000 mountaineer the fogs only come on with the low beams.

my dads superduty did that.. it was an 05. we took it to the dealer and they said it was a "trait" of the truck.. but we told them we wanted the to do what we want, not what the truck wants. and they switched ot for us.. idk what it was but it definatly fixable

Here's the thread a couple people were referring to. I used it to do my '96 so that I can have my fogs on with parking/low/high beams... as long as my parking lights are on, i can turn my fogs on and off.

Basically all you have to do is tap into your parking light power wire, and then deliver the power to your power wire that goes to your fog light relay. It's easy and you only need like 10" of wire...

Carefully read through it though, your wire colors are different than the '95-'97, I think someone posted up those colors and the location your looking for but I couldn't find it skimming through.

It's just an option, Good Luck:thumbsup:
