I hope you guys spent some time testing the new OS that's being released today?

I have been using it and it seems a bit better, it now shows artist and song title when connected via bluetooth which is nice.

Did Apple fix the lack of texting when using Bluetooth with their new software release?

Unfortunitly no, this was a feature i was really hoping for but it still does not work :(

I'm pretty sure that Siri will work with the hands free though, giving you the ability to text, and listen to text, on the new iPhone 4S .. I will report when mine comes. Doesn't help all of those that aren't yet on the 4S though :(

I ordered a Iphone 4s and it is on the FedEx truck for delivery Friday....hope it works! :)

Hi, Everyone!

Our engineers have been working with Apple to test IOS5 and the results have been positive so far. It seems that texting still doesn't work via Bluetooth. If you would like to check out more user comments that beta-tested IOS5 for Apple, please check out the Owner to Owner forum thread on SYNCMyRide.com:

I hope this helps!

Rebecca

Thanks for the link but not much of a read.

Nice to see the Fords engineers are being proactive on iOS 5!

On my Android phone, I knew how to send an individual contact to MFT. Can't figure out how to do it using iOS5. Help, please!

Meant to write this saturday, but Siri does in fact work with the explorer's bluetooth. So anyone with a new iPhone 4S (or soon jailbroken iPhone 4) will be able to use Siri to read and send text messages, read and write email, schedule appointments and reminders, etc etc.

While the phone is connected to MFT, just hold down the home button to summon Siri, and she will talk through the car speakers, and listen to the car mic.
