I think the use of the prefix "my" and "i" in things is dumb :thumbdwn: .. as if they are, at some point, going to release a "YourKey".

That's an interesting use of existing tech. Hopefully it won't be a high dollar option and all the ricer manufacturers will get on board with this too.

Most parents don't know what an x-cal 2 is and what it can do.

Sorry..I think'd I'd like to have more trust in my kids. I did alot of stupid things in the car when I was young to. (ie. Launching my Ranger through a inersection from dips alah Dukes of Hazard, behind a police station:rolleyes:) But from those mistakes...I learned valuable lessons.

Yea I can say I've learned my biggest lessons from mistakes in driving. Simple solution, give your kid a big old ass car and let them wreck it. That will teach them to slow down. Sure as hell made me slow down. I've had my share of near misses, too. Only these things are really what made the impression on me to slow down.

Edit: So in short, this isn't a very good idea if you really want kids to learn. Some things just have to learned the hard way. I think many of us wouldn't be such good drivers if we hadn't had the chance to screw up some.

Who would let their kid drive their brand new car anyway? So what maybe 2014 before this tech would come into widespread use. It just makes no sense to me when I could go buy a $400 box right now and limit my kids speed to whatever I wanted to right now. I don't see any problems with limiting a kids speed to 80mph, they can still get in a lot of trouble, and learn plenty of lessons at those speeds.
