Back in 1970 Ford decided to try and bring some competition to the US market (this may or may not be 100% correct), but anyways we go out first real taste with the Capri (MkI).
A cool little 2door coupe with either a 2.0 4 popper with an optional 2.6 V-6, and then came the really sexy Capri II (MkII), this is the one that really caught my eye back in school seeing as thuogh a friend of mine had what was called the "Black Magic" version, all black w/gold trim with black leather, 2.8 V-6 and a 4spd with aftermarket headers and Wieand intake with a 4bbl, this dude would scoot!
Well to make a long story kinda short, I was on a friend father-in law's property yesterday looking at an 83' F250 and noticed this car off by the fence, this has 87'-88' Mustang turbine wheels on it.
If I had the time and space this car would be a great project with either a radical stoker 2.3 to 2.7 or an SVO engine conversion, V-8 swap is even considerable.
A friend of mine in Ohio run a business to keep these cars alive, WAY TO GO Norm!!! www.teamblitz.com
So prior to the Merkur (pronounced: Mare-Coor) Xr4ti, and Scorpio, here's what I first fell in love with from Ford or Europe:
This is a 1974 Capri II (MkII)
