hello im new to this forum new to any forum really.recently bought a 2002 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer in very good condition outside inside not so bad runs really well has a shifting problemit lags between shifting 2nd to 3rd .code came up on the dash I took it in and they told me that it had to do with the shifting solenoid and they said they charge around 400 500 dollarsthey told me its pretty simple fix I've worked on cars for years never mess with a transmission problemsso here I am today asking for a little advice I pulled the pan and found a small piece about as big around as my finger smooth on one in and it looks to be like a piece of squaremetal was connected to it it's only about an inch long very smooth like it when in some Bore but I can't see how it ended up in the transmission pan I don't see anything that looks big enough for it to fall through .I would take a picture of it but I knew the forms and everything and I don't understand how to move a picture from my phone onto the form.I did recently see it right up about a servo bore kit.or shift kit can it be used if this is the case. Any help would be appreciated.
