I have a 2011 Ford Explorer XLT 2WD and the front blower motor stopped working. I’ve replaced the fuse, checked the relay, replaced the resistor and the blower motor and it still won’t run. Any other suggestions?

Was the fuse you replaced blown? Have you checked to see if there is power going to the motor? If there is ten perhaps the issue is the motor itself.

Thanks for the welcome.

The fuse was not blown. After I replaced the motor and the resistor, I replaced the fuse just in case. I also checked the relay.

There is no power to the motor even with all those changes.

Manual or automatic climate control?

What specific fuse did you swap?

Did you check fuse F89 also? It supplies power in HOT/START to the blower relay coil. F18 is ALWAYS HOT.

Most diagnostics require use of a scan tool that can access and run tests on the auxiliary modules. Without one, the ability to troubleshoot is limited.

Thank you for the fuse advice.

I checked the F89 fuse and it is intact.

I also ordered an OBD scanner today. I’ll update with what it tells me when I receive it.

Well, I hope you ordered one with the capability I recommended...

Update on this post:

Power is going to blower motor. Blower motor works when hooked directly
to the battery.

There is something that is not telling the blower motor to turn on between the computer (auto AC control) and the blower motor.

HVAC module??

Have you scanned the HVAC module for any diagnostic codes?
