Front end Clunk - I'm at a loss

Trans and motor mounts are brand new.. put them in along with my new motor. Just to be safe I rechecked all the fasteners and retorqued them all to spec.

I woooouulld suspect diff mounts, however I no longer have a front diff in, took it ALL out trying to track down this stupid clunk. If I can get off my arse I'll try and get a video of it later today. Just got off a 16 hour shift so0o.. I might be asleep for a few days. :

Sorry guys, link didn't show up for some reason. ST= Explorer Sport Trac. The iPhone app that I'm talking about is called "Tone", all you do is record the sound with the phone/app and it'll tell you what the noise/ tone is by using advance sound DNA deciphering through it's database and will tell you what sound it is. I know people that have used it to pinpoint noises coming from their vehicles and solved the problems with it. Just a heads up, I haven't personally used it yet but will be soon. Good luck on finding the noise.

Believe the Apple "tone generator" app is designed primarily for tuning interior home and car audio systems from 20Hz-20kHz.
I don't think it would be effective on exterior chassis/suspension noise or resonance, regardless of the systems power output.

Ok, figured it out.
I can not visually confirm this, as I turned the truck over to my buddy at Ford yesterday.

But the problem was with the driver's side torsion bar adjuster (or key), it has a kevlar-like pad in the center of it designed to dampen road noise, it wore out and the torsion bar had some free play between it at the adjuster.

This is just what I was told... I don't care, the noise is gone

Damn you beat me to it, a buddy of mine had that same problem and just figured it out yesterday, I was gonna post and tell you to check those but too late. LOL
