- 2000 Ford Explorer XLS
I have a 2000 Explorer XLS with the 5 speed auto and Auto-4Hi-4LO switch. My first 2000 was 2 HI and I had no noise from the front end. Is there a difference in the noise.
I get what sounds like a bad wheel bearing noise only when there is pressure down on the front end, sort of after going over a small hill. Not when I turn hard right or left, not when giving gas or just gliding but when down pressure on the front end.
Is this normal for the auto 4WD?
