Gears for my Xploder

Hey, i wanted to know what the best gear ratio for 31" tires was for my '91. Also, what size is the rear diff in our trucks? and will i have to re gear the front also? any help is appreaceated.

Stick or auto?
31's 4.10 works good, 3.73 is okay too and better for highway.
4.10 will get you the off the line you want, 4.56 would light em up.

The rear is an 8.8 31 spline.

Yes you need to regear both if you want 4wd.
