Get this, Wal-Mart sucks!

Yeah Wal-mart "mechanics" suck butt. My gf (at the time) took her car there to get a simple oil change.

Later that day it leaked about 2 quarts of oil on my driveway!!

Took it back guess what they did.

The lost the oil drain plug, so they put another one in. The other one was way too big but they forced it in there anyway, then put some sealant around the bolt and hoped that would keep it from leaking. Well the new plug, from the force they had to use to get it in there, cracked the oil pan. Stupid Stupid Stupid!!!

They finally ended up giving her a check for $700.00 after we threatened Wal-Mart with the better business bureau and the bureau of automotive repair. They didn't like hearing that.

Good luck. Don't take any freebees they give you, because they will remember your car. Get the point?

Take the advice of NoBoundries and combine that with the clout of what MyExpWork and write a nice professional letter to the regional manager or the district manager. Nice, articulate, spelling and all that jazz and they will never know that you are 19. Also you may want to put some initials before or after your name...Dr., PhD, or even better Judge...

Good Luck. It is amazing how far charm can get you though.

Let us know how it goes.

There are many avenues for you to choose, but let me add my favorite - The Better Business Bureau.

A little history, I had a Dell laptop with a bad battery, but Dell claimed it did not meet the recall criteria. I sent a brief note to the BBB and within a week a Senior VP from the headquarters called me for the location on where to ship my new battery... with many sorrys thrown about.

I would try the letter first... and remember to continue to tell others about your experience, as that could indeed hurt them more.

For every good experience you might tell one person, but for every bad experience you probably will tell ten people.

I don't trust Walmart as far as I could throw my truck, I took my wifes car in to have a screw taken out, it took 3 hrs, and there was only 4 people a head of me. I told them to make sure and put 38 psi in the tires and then didn't, they al so forgot to give me back the lug nut key, and the cover for the lug.
Put grease all over the door, and on the roof.

All this for a screw to be patched, I will never do business with Walmart Tire center.
The such hard.

well
i talked to the assisant store manager
which was a woman....but thats besides the point

anyways
i got my tires rotated finally it only took a 2 day span and 3 hours total, another hour and a half of waiting today.....

but i also was given a $15 gift card...which i don't care about....the tires were properly rotated.

but the mechanic tried to give me some ****, he was very rude today again, but i told the manager back in the automotive section about his rudeness.

i will also be writing a letter to the regional manager...this was uncalled for

also to make matters all the more worse....i got in to leave today after they rotated them, turn on the truck and my cd player is the loudest i've ever heard it.....*******s think they can turn my system up like that?! Next time i am going to get all up in their bussiness while they do it.....i thought it would be okay today to sit in the little waiting room because their manager was there....guess not huh!?

but i'm writing a letter to the regional office because this is a load of ****, lies, decietfullness, disrespect, rudeness and waste of my time

To bad you didn't have the Manager come out with you until you gave the OK. I would have went to the Store Manager though rather than the Tire Manager. My experience is that while it may take some compaining, Wal-Mart has always made things right with me. They are one of the few companies that truly know the meaning of Customer Service.

Don't let em screw you around man. I work in retail and for most people who work in retail it's the " I don't give a F^ck cause I make just above minimum wage" attitiude. You deserve more then a 15 dollar gift card for that crap. Get the number for corprate or better yet write the head of the company. He will never see the letter but it will go to human resources, the district and regional managers and then **** will stir up in the store and someone will end up learning their lesson. Threaten hard enough and get pissed enough and you'll come out with more then a 15 dollar gift card. A big company like that rather shell out some dough or free merchandise then have that whole situation mentioned to the public.

People, this is Wal-Mart...we're talking about WAL-MART here. Not to offend anyone, but they hire people with mental disabilities that wouldn't know what common sense was if it hit them in the face. I've never taken my car there in the first place to ever get worked on, and I sure never thought about doing it in the future...but now I definitely know not to.

Just my opinion...

What I do when I take any of my vehicles to get the tires rotated is I mark each tire what a chalk marker and label that specific tire to where I neeed it to be rotated to the side I suppose to go on.

With that in mind none of there yo yos at the tire shop will Fu@k with me and make sure it is not half A$$ work :)

Yes, starting at the top will definately get you somewhere. My dad has done that at numerous places, and gets lots of extras he never even thought he would get. i'd either write a letter or call. see if you can find anything out on the walmart website.

ps - check your pm's, you should have one about a unrelated topic :p

that sucks but it doesn't suprise me... I have a co-worker whos wife works at wal-mart so he always takes his truck there for oil changes so he can gab with her while there working on it. He says he always marks his oil filter somehow and checks after there done because so many times he went in there and was extremely suspicous they hadn't changed the filter.

My problem with Wally World (WallMart) is that they no longer accept used motor oil. I like to change my own oil and need a place to dispose of it in a responsible mannor. I used to be able to just drive up and drop off my milk jug of oil and all was good. Now that WallMart wont accept my oil I HAVE NO REASON TO SHOP AT THE STORE FORE ANYTHING.
About 3 weeks ago I sent an email expressing my dissapointment with this change in policy but have not heard anything (no big surprize). I now purchase my oil (Mobil 1) at PepBoys (typically higher priced) because they WILL accept my used oil.

walmart definantly sucks i can feel my self get dumber everytime i go in there. that place sucks the will to live right out of me.

well I go to wal-mart for lots of stuff... some cheap auto accessories, bed sheets, sometimes CD's or clothes, sometimes other things. I just wont take my truck in there :).

I got some tires mounted there once they through on a load of wheel weights on each wheel. The weights had to measure a good 5" long but its all good ive since knocked most of them off wheeling. The also go my rim covered in some sort of adhesive. Im guessing they used something to help seal the bead.

Walmart sells tires? They do automotive work? None of them by me do. In fact all the ones by me have a very small auto section.

ok
so heres what happened
i went monday and told them they lied and didn't rotate my tires and wasted my time. so monday they wasted another hour and a half of my time. the tires were rotated i checked before i left....

so tuesday i am driving to work
and at about 50 mph my truck starts viberating, not bad but not normal, so i got pissed looked at the reciept and found that they only rotated them, they didn't balance them also....like i had asked!

so tuesday after work i went in got real ****ty with everyone cuz granted this is my 3rd day in a row there getting the same job done. the mechanic was shi**y with me all 3 days....but i told the automotive mananger, as soon as your goon grabs my keys, you tell me because i'm going to be on his ass watching ever liittle thing he does. an9other 25 mins of waiting, then i watched as he balanced them....he tried to make nice with me and make small talk i didn't want anything to do with this guy.... so anyways

point being it took 3 days and 5 1/2 hours of my time just to have my tires properly rotated and balanced.....

next step, 3 people are going to get a letter from me...or maybe a call.

1. The store manager at that particaular wal-mart, i never talked to him.
2. The District Manager.
3. Not sure but if there is the District Automotive manger.

ggrrrr thats the last time i get anything on my truck done at wal-mart........

*******s, give those a holes hell... i hate when people think they take advantage of teenagers... im 18 and ive already had people try to take me for a ride... ya know what?? my english classes are fresh in my mind.. go straight to the top, work your way down, letters phone calls... be eloquent, explain the situation, and trust me, you'll get more free crap than you can shake a stick at
