I accidentally overfilled my tranny with fluid by about a pint is there anyway to get the extra stuff out. It is a 5R55E trans with the external cooler.

Please help.

You can buy a simple hand pump from an auto parts store and pump it out through the dipstick hole. Another option would be through the auxillary cooler by removing a line, and starting the truck briefly.

the hand pump method works great! You will need a bunch of skinny clear plastic tubing (like an aquarium uses) 4' or so should do it.

Thanks that method really did the trick.... :D

That's probably the cleanest. Another way is to simply crack one of the cooler lines and let it drain.

Whatever works.
