Girlfriend's Explorer has a white cloud coming from the vents

In my girlfriend's 91 ford explorer she gets a white cloud coming from her vents when the heat is on. She sometimes get a white cloud when the cold is on. It's doesn't smell or look like smoke, but maybe it is. In fact there is no smell at all. Also the windows fog up real fast. It doesn't seem like it is steam either. Help me I am clueless. I am going to take into the shop when I get some money, but I was wondering if anyone might know what is going on.

Sounds like you have a leaking heater core. Your symptoms are pretty much what you would expect from a leaking heater core.

the heater core on the early explorers is a quick15-30 min job

ditto on the heater core.... and my windows for up pretty quick as well, i wouldnt be alarmed by that

Took no time at all...found the part at napa for $29.18. Only place I could find who had one.
