I've been thinking lately about possibly getting some.. But I can't make up my mind if I want to, or not. Any suggestions? And does anybody know of any company or person who makes 3rd gen front fender sets? I know McNeil Racing makes them, but other than that, does anybody else? And would anybody be interested in purchasing a set as well? It's been wandering around my mind lately, and I'm split right in the middle if I want to go through the hassle of trying to get a set or just forget about it..

Thanks

I'm going to be E-Mailing some local companies about ordering a pair, last time I checked it was around $300 for the front pair..

There website shows $300 not too bad except most of the things on there site are prerunner, not for my i just want oem

Oh, I was acctually talking about the Prerunner fenders, I have no idea who sells just the regular fenders, probably would have to go through Ford for that or pissibly some websites that deal Ford products might have them.

im thinking about getting a pair but how much are they gonna cost after u get them shipped?

I say no. I've had them on a lot of trucks (my grey 1st gen Explorer is on Perry's site) and IMO if you don't match the rear, the rig just looks funny. Especially if you don't widen the front to fill up the width of the fenders. Your MPG will go down too.

Personal preference of course, but that's my take.

I appreciate your input Froader, this is exactly what I was looking for. Ive just been thinking about it lately. I also think Fenders look kind of funny if you don't have a setup to acctually go with them IMO. But just a thought lately.

Thanks again for your input I really appreciate it

They are $300 for the pair, I'm not sure how much they would be shipped, I live withing driving distance of most shops who make them.

No worries. I've been there done that (was a lot younger) with a couple trucks. When I look back at pictures I think to myself, "Wow, that looks lame!" :D
It's like all the trucks you see now. Guys spend 5k on the front and widen it 4" per side, but leave the back stock width with Deavers. While Deavers are great, they don't keep up with a 5k front end.

He's been banned for a while, but if you haven't seen 86EXPLORER86's thread yet, check it out. Although his truck is beat, he has a couple of decent pics so you can see what your truck might look like. Glass pics start on page 3.
