As old as this thread is, I think the OP has his answer.
I'd say it all depends on what his original gears were. 3.73 to 4.10 not worth the expense. If he started with something less then 3.73's, then 4.10's should be "OK" and if he can find junk yard 4.10's front and rear to save money. I, however, would prefer 4.56 with 33 inch tires. 4.88's for off-roading. Any larger tires and he needs serious gears.
Thats just me though. Anything under 3000 RPM at 60 MPH is perfectly acceptable for a truck.
