Grill Guards and Fiberglass

Everybody seems to be avoiding this question; I've asked more than once. If I were to update the bodystyle (like Rick's or Perry McNeil's) to the later body, could I mount one of the full guards (like the WAAG or Manik) designed for the later model Explorers to my truck? I really just need to know if the frames are similar up front. If so, which year late Explorer guards should I look for? If not, how 'bout something like the Westin Safari Bar. Those look killer, how would that work out?

Your best bet would be to check to see if the mounting points of the 95+ are similar to the mounting points on a 91-94. If they are, then i think you shouldn't face any problems with what you're trying to do.

That's kinda what I thought, but I was hoping someone on the board had maybe compared the frame horns up front. I imagine that if you could mount up a late-model bumper, the guard would mount right up. :smoke:
