I have a 2003 explorer and I have been experiencing a whining, grinding noise in the front end. I know it's not tranny related so i'm thinking ball joints. any help?
I have recently started having the exact same issue with mine. Curious if you got to the bottom of what was going on? Same thing with the left turn too!
Just had it looked at by mechanic yesterday and it is wheel bearings, however in the marvelous 2003 Ford Explorer - you have to buy the whole unit and it's $200 a side at auto zone for the part only. Found them on eBay cheaper - but there's no buying only the bearing for this model....:thumbdwn:
