Hey guys and gals, so i see everyone hear claims the tow packages gives you the LSD (i thought so too) but it seems it doesnt. I have the class three with axle code 46 which means open 3.73. Where and can i get a LSD, i do have the advancetrac/rsc will that screw up with it?

Thanks

Larry

Hell if you can wait till I get through my rehab ill sell you my rear lsd. Id sell it now but with my neck and head I can't pick up too much. They are also on eBay too but I think there shipping is way over prices. Keep us updated on it Larry

while you got everything out you should throw some 4.10s in it. They help tremendously if you have a 4.0.

gear swaps on the 3rd gens havnt officaily been reported yet here on the forums. apparently the front is a little bit of a pain in the ass.

really? I been swapped mine out about 2 years ago. I thought I made a thread of it. I ordered a 8.8 cobra tru trac carrier and some ford racing 4.10s. The one i drive is only a rwd though.

the problem with 4.10's is there are no front 4.10 gears . . they only come in 3.73's-i thought it was a D35 or super30?

To the OP, is yours 2wd? What transfer case do you have? AWD (no switches but with 4wd) i think are always opens while the 4WD (switches on the dash) came with LSDs. With the AWD a LSD isn't necessary (imho) since the fronts are always under power, and 99% of the time you get great traction.

Junkyard for a rear pumpkin, actually having held one, they are not too heavy so shipping shouldn't be a killer. . .but they are prone to whine. A Detroit truetrac i've heard great things about them, great road manners, and no clutches to wear out.
