Hazards works but turn signal doesn't

Have a 99 mountaineer the hazards work but my turn signal doesn't work.

Change the flasher under the instrument panel near the steering column. Doing so will most likely cure your problem.

Hmmm, that makes things a bit more difficult, n a bit of a bummer huh? I guess from here assuming all the fuses are good then I would get myself a muli-meter and a good wire diagram for your year explorer and start chasing wires and all connectors hopefully pinpointing the fault. I would say the link quoted above would be a great place to start? IMO anyway.

IF it has a tilting steering column.

This seems like the easiest check:

TILT the wheel UP TO THE WINDSHIELD all the way............. Drive for a few days, if the problem is gone its the wires..
