Headlights flashing on and off

I have a 91 ex and when driveing with the headlights on high beam after about 20 minutes of driving the headslights turn off and flash on and off. when i change to low beam they turn off and come back on. I have checked some of the wiring and found nothing obvious, no smell of burnt wires, no fuse blown. Could the head light switch cause this? I am worried it may cause a accident. thanks charles

Replace the headlight switch. I had a mustang that did the same thing.
