I have a 99' Explorer with a 5.0 in it.
I have a problem with the heater and I'm wondering if anyone can help me troubleshoot the issue.
The truck warms up and the blower is working, but when I turn the switch to change the heat from heat, floor and defrost it doesn't change anything. There is a little air coming out of each one, but it's not blowing normally.
Does anyone know what the problem could be? I'm gonna try cleaning the dash switch connectors of to see if that resolves it. What changes the heat to blow from the dash vest, floor or onto the windsheild?

Sounds like your blend door motor is bad.

Where can I find that? Witch door is it located in?

Not the blend door. The blend door has nothing to do with air direction. Only the temp.

Air direction is ultimately controlled by vacuum. The direction switch switches vacuum to one of multiple vacuum motors, which open/close the appropriate doors.

Thanks Koda I knew I had that backwards about 10 minutes after I posted.

It's not in a door but behind the dash. The blend door vacuum motor is behind the glove box. There are 2 other vacuum motors located behind the center console near the floor. You can see the panel/floor motor from the driver's side looking up under the dash towards the center console. I'm not certain where the panel/defrost is located visually as my diagrams don't show it and I can't visually see it but I suspect it's behind the center console on the passenger side so you may need to remove the radio to see it.

Air blend door vacuum motor behind glove box, can be seen from passenger floor looking up into dash

You can see the panel/floor vacuum motor from the driver's floor looking up into the center console area.
