i have a 96 explorer xlt with the 4.0 ohv engine, and i want to take out the a/c system as i live in northern pa and do not use it much. I know that i need to evacuate the system before removing anything, and i know that i can remove the compressor and evaporator core, but what i want to know is whether i can swap the heater box from a non a/c ranger into my explorer and if i can what year truck i can take it from. thanks in advance for any insight you can provide
