Hi, my name is Michelle. My wife and I live out on the prairie in the Flint Hill of Kansas. We live on a gravel road and the nearest paved road is 5 miles away. We rely on trucks out here because we need to run 10 ply LT tires, otherwise we go broke repairing flats. We also need trucks with ground clearance and can haul and tow.
Our daily driver, which my wife drives, is a 2004 Sport Trac XLT with 4 WD. It has the original equipment 4 liter V6 and at last glance is at about 226,000 miles. We had a remanufactured transmission installed last year. When we bought the truck used the gages were working intermittently so we drove it 2 a facility in Missouri where the entire gage cluster was removed and rebuilt while I waited. This also keeps the odometer accurate. We had the shocks all replaced last year with Rancho RS 5000's.
Our next upgrade planned would be to replace our headlights with newer brighter lights. I know neither of us has enough knowledge on modern headlights so here I am to get educated. I'm sure this site has as much knowledge as Ford. I'd also like to thank everyone for sharing their vast knowledge with others.
