2010 Explorer XLT
I have a 2010 Explorer XLT. My left rear turn signal blew and, after I replaced it, I get a tone whenever I put it in reverse. It didn't do this before. Any ideas?

Why would it only go off in reverse though? Usually that would be somethin that occurs when ya hit the blinker or first start the vehicle I would think. Not during a function that doesn't involve it. Check all of your reverse lights to be sure something ain't out, while you're at it, take the new bulb out and try it, then put it back and try again, see if it changes with it out, then when it's back in.

Welcome to the forums by the way!

Have you checked to see if your reverse lights are working?

Yes, all the lights work. I'm at a loss. I didn't do it before the turn signal bulb was replaced.

OK, a quick update. Apparently my 2010 XLT has a reverse sensor that I didn't know about. When I changed the turn signal lamp I must have moved something and caused it to start working. I also replaced the reverse lamp, thanks for the suggestions again, yesterday so I got that cleared up as well.

Interesting, did ya find the exact cause, some loose connection somewhere it sounds like. Might not be a bad idea to find where its loose and fix that a loose connection is a bad connection, when it comes to anything. But I am glad it's working currently, good to have figured that out. But as said, I would follow the cables, mess with at the connectors and such, figure out where the cause is

I'm planning to do that. Unfortunately I'm working this weekend so it will have to be next weekend.

Whenever ya can just as long as it gets done, don't want it to accidentally cause something else or get worse
