My personal vehicle collection is a mix of things and I have owned every brand that is popular in Canada. At work they have alot of Fords/Mazda's, etc.
I fix em if they break or keep on top of problems that no one else seems to bother looking at.Topping up rads, making sure batteries are full, greasing universal joints, oil changes, etc.

The 1997 Ranger 2WD seems to have a rough idle at times, when I drive it to test it, it never does it, but when the lady that drives it goes on a delivery or something, she gets back and says it wanted to die, and then on the overpass it stalled.

I hook up the OBD2 and it comes up -fuel mixture lean-

It was overdue for some plugs, wires, fuel filter, etc. I did that, we recently put a brand new fuel pump into it by taking off the box, etc.it only has 95,000kms on the speedo right now.

Anyone hear anything about the 4.0 wanting to stall and run weak when coming to a stop? It wont do it if I purposely drive around for 15 minutes trying to make it do it, but she always comes back saying it did it again LOL

welcome

thanks brooklyn bay, yeah I just did the plugs/wires 2 days ago and the lady that drives it said it already happened again.

I guess i will do the old squirt WD40 near the intake and see if it changes the engines attitude at all :)

And I will check out that number on your list of usefull posts.
thanks for the welcome guys
