Hello,
Never posted here before, and I came to see if any1 can help me out. I recently purchased a 2000 Ford Explorer sport (she's a beauty). I am trying to install an after-market cd player. It had an aftermarket remote keyless alarm system on it (with the annoying 8 different sirens), which I had disabled. When I took out the OEM HU the stereo worked b4. I tried hooking up my aftermarket stereo and I got nothing. No power! I then hooked my OEM HU back up to see if it was a power problem to the HU. Low and behold the OEM head unit would not work. I think this may have something to do with the passive anti-theft system (SecuriLock). I bought the car used and I was given one key. An Ilco plastic key head. I'm trying to figure out what to do. Any suggestions appreciated.
