Help! I want to lift my truck!

You can see the retainer clips in these pictures and how far past the calipers they stick, you just need to trim the clips just down to the curves.

What part am I looking at? I'm sorry I'm not good with cars or trucks haha if I know what I am looking at I could understand which part to clip

In the first picture you can see the thin metal clip best sticking out between the brakes caliper and the caliper mounting bracket (in the other pictures the caliper is the part painted red). These clip shims stick out just too far for the 15" wheels to clear them.

look.....if you have any MALE friends, or a BOYFRIEND, or male
co-worker to help you out with this, they would be able to see
where the wheel is rubbing just by looking....and what happened
with GRANDPA...???? did he help you and trim what was needed.??

look and try to understand... we have ALL tried to help you ALOT!!

but....you need to find someone around there (where you live )to helpend
you) if you just have NO CLUE WHAT SO EVER. or bite the bullet and
just take it to a 4X4 shop and tell them what you want....

and before I get TONS of negative responses here....I COMPLETELY
understand that you are "a girl" and "don't know" but enough is
enough already....this thing (about TIRES!!!!!) went to 14 FRIGGIN
PAGES.....I mean really..??

we have ALL answered your questions over and over and over again. if
you cannot comprehend the answers that you receive.....then get someone
who can comprehend....understand...???

again....not trying to be mean at all.....but 14 pages of the same questions
over and over again is alittle bit a an overkill.

I hope you understand that im trying to be very nice and TO THE POINT
HERE.....you need MORE HELP THEN WE CAN OFFER!!!!

ohhh, and good luck with getting everything worked out, and cant wait to
see what the sport-trac looks like with the 33s...post pics soon....
we ALL want to see the finished product...FINALLY HAHAHA

good luck girl...

:salute:

She has the tires mounted, the trimming is done and she has posted a picture. The help has returned results.

Just so you're not so disappointed:

I guess your daddy never taught you manners boy. Nobody told you to keep reading this thread and answering questions. If I recall this site and all other forums are made to help one another and there are literally thousands of threads asking the same questions over and over. All of us started somewhere, are you just being ignorant because she happens to be a women that needs advice and guidance?

There's a lack of respect on your part tenny and this isn't the first time. I'm sure BMarion would appreciate an apology, if you would like to take your head out of your ass, look in the show off section you'll see that she has it lifted, trimmed and finished everything asked about
. I may get slack from the mods for tearing you a new one but I'm sure they won't mind after reading your previous post. Thank you and have a good day.

I updated my post above for Tenny's benefit.

thank you both for supporting me on this. i would have never been able to do it without you. i thought this forum was for answers because i have no one here to do this stuff for me and dont have the money to take it to shops. thank you for being patient with ALL of my questions.

Im envious of your red and black...makes me want to paint my truck red lol beautiful truck to begin with, but even more kick ass now!! Amazing truck!!:)

Thank you! I'm glad you like it. I love the outcome :)

I'm going to have to stop by and look at it when I make my return to FL in July lol

And I'm sure putting in all the time and effort has paid off. Glad to see another lifted ST floating around!

Very Nice! You just don't see too many lifted red Tracs

Thank you so much. This all really does help so much! My plans for my truck is to make it look exactly like this one haha View attachment 404375

But if I can't do that then as close to that as possible. I don't go muddying or anything like that I just want this for looks lol I was hoping the bigger tires would give it a higher look but now that I'm buying bigger tires I want my truck taller

I'll try to find someone to do the torsion twist for me and see what I need. And the shackles ill try and find as well. :)
I have a 2002 with a 6 in lift my tires are 315/75 16 love crazy enough it is identical to the truck in the picture

Maybe you have his truck? This thread is 12 years old!

Sick!!
