I have a 2008 Explorer XLT and I was wondering where would be a good way to run my power cord for my amp to the battery and also I'm going to keep the factory stereo so I was also wondering where a good spot to connect the remote wire would be? Would it be possible to connect it to the headlight switch to where the amp comes on when the headlights are turned on?

Power Cord Solved

I ended up just drilling a hole on the passenger side near what appeared to be the power cord for the glove box light.
Now I just cant seem to find a significant source for my remote wire...

You could wire it in to the fuse box on the radio fuse so that way when the ignition turns on the radio it will turn the amp on as well

^^ in the business that is what we call ghetto riggin. Ignition harness, tap onto the accessory wire. Put a fuse inline. Or you can find the accessory wire behind the radio and tap into it there. Since you will need to tap off of speakers somewhere why not do it all in 1 spot.
