How do I remove a rusted exhaust clamp. Its the one that fastens the pipe from the catalytic converter to the pipe into the muffler. The pipes seem to be okay but the clamp has rusted and allowed the pipes to separate at bit.

Just cut it off. Exhaust clamps are cheap.

This tool is perfect for the job. That clamp has no chance. :smoke:

saw zaw is one of my personal favorites for exhaust work

or a grinder.

Drive on down to the local fire dept, if they are not busy you can use the Jaws of life machine, can cut your entire truck in half:)

just a simple twist and they will bust apart... same deal as the saw - no extension cords... :)
