OK...

I get my lift on and no sooner does a major problem appear. I dont know how i missed this, but the bar that seperates the windows on the rear doors are both starting to bubble up and rust out. Does anyone know if this bar can be replaced?? How do I get it out?? I'm a lttle nervous that this is going to be a REALLY costly problem. HOpefully you guys can think of something.

Thanks

Yes they can be takin out and replaced. I just don't remember what all you have to do.

If I remember you have to take the big window out first which means punching out the center of two rivits and drilling them out.
I think there is a bolt or rivit at the top of the bar and either one or two bolts in the door. If you know what your doing it's not bad, but if you don't it will take a while figuring it out.

Maybe take it to your local glass shop and see what they would do.

Not sure how bad the rust is, but you might be able to put some rust stop on it and repaint them. Remember rust is like cancer and you will never get it stopped. You can slow it down, but it will come back.

Hope this helps.

THANK YOU!

Thanks for tip. If you think of anything else or someone that might provide some advice I'd really appreciate it!

Dealer

Well.

I just got back from the dealer and they looked up the part for me 150.02 per side. Apparently the part that is rusting out cant be replaced seperately, the entire window trim has to be replaced. I'm going to see if my friend at the body shop can get it cheaper.
