Help with 02 Ford Ranger Flairside BED

so i bought a 02 4x4 ford ranger with FLAIRSIDE and its the most UGLY thing ever.... i wanna know if i find a Fleetside bed .. will it fit the Existing Mounting brakets ... i heard its very easy to take beds off but my question is simple.. will a Fleetside Bed work on a Flairside frame??

please if anyone has any thoughts please post

Yes, the styleside will exchange with the flareside bed.
They are the same, going back for several years if not decades,
as far as the fitting goes. Very easy to swap; don't forget the
fuel filler and taillight wiring harness.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess. My 04 EDGE is
a flareside, and I love the looks and the step access to the bed front.
The flareside bed was actually a $500 option, so you may get some
money out of it. It's very desirable and lots of Ranger people are searching
for one......

ok =)) what do u mean " dont forget about Fuel Filler and taillights?? " will the Tailights fit the bed i put on?? and will the Fuel lines match up? or no ?? i heard the Fuel line is just a Rubber Tubing kinda thing... somethign easy to replace if needed

I think he means that the fuel filler needs to be extended because it's made for a flare side and not style side. The gas filler is on the bed where it is not as wide as the rest of the truck. The style side filler is as wide as the truck.

And for the tail lights, the wiring harness may need to bed extended to reach them that will be farther apart or the lights may need a different harness if the lights are different between to two bed styles.

ohhh =)) well i kinda was looking foward to doing that with the Fuel.. i didint think id have a prob with the lights tho cuz they r in the same spot as the Fleetside bed im pretty sure... but my big issue is that the Mounting brackets match up and the wheel weels line up... witch they should i hope =)) :rangerred:
