From reading posts on here, its usually only one bad sensor that takes down the whole system.

You have to remove the bumper to get at them
there is a write up on here somewhere

then replace one at a time until it works

There was a guy on ebay a couple yrs ago selling the sensors for $8 each... that source has since dried up. They are much more expensive from Ford but thats the only option.

well sometimes they beep once or twice. but the little light on the dash says they are off. but when you try to click the button to turn them on. it just shuts off again

mine haven't worked in at least a year. the previous owner got bumped in the back and ever since that, they never worked rite.

Mine does the same.

I suspect its a loose wire shorting out as it does occasionally work. I really need to buy a Haynes manual.

Quick, how do I make mine not work too? I find them quite annoying!!! And yes I know that I can turn them off, but I' like a one-time don't push a buttom everytime I turn on the truck fix.

actually if you have a enhanced Ford code reader it will tell you which one is failed.

One way to disable the module is RR Qtr 'D' Pillar just unplug the module and it will kill the whole system. Maybe there is a fuse somewhere?

I added it after the fact, its only a Switch, Module (has the speaker), and rear sensors. .

Cool! so its a totally separate system and not involved in the computer of the vehicle.. nice to know!
