more info

Thanks everyone for your warm welcoms, I am also not Qatar national, I am from Jordan workin in Qatar for about 2 years.

I am new purchased my '02 XLT 4x4, and there r 2 things worring me:
1- the fuel consumption: it seems very high about 12 mpg in small city
2- when gear on (P) or (N): when try to push fuel pedal to acclerate motor, then the RPM indicator will not exceed 2,000 RPM, and the whole vhicle start to vibrate. during normal riding everything is normal

If anyone have some info about these, plz reply.

Thanks

Greetings!

I've been to Doha a few times...had a blast too!

1. I'd give the air filter a look, I know the equipment we ran there used more filters due to the dust.

2. The engine should have a rev limiter to keep it from flying apart inside. It most likely cuts out spark to some of the cylinders to prevent it from over reving thus the vibration you describe. In other words, it's normal.
