Hey guys,
I'm looking to install a DVD player in the X, but didn't want to spend the money on a 12v player (US$500 here in Australia).
I am going to get a stand alone home DVD player (more flexible - multiregion, multi system, mp3, cd-r(w), vcd etc).
Anyway, I understand that most of the price difference comes from the tray stabilizers and shock absorbtion. Will a home DVD unit be able to cope with the rough ride? It's not like it's going to be used while I'm on the trail, just on road trips and stuff.
Also, when using an ACDC converter, would it produce any noise?
TIA,
BK
