Horsepower Gains 2003 Ford Explorer 4.6L

What are the best mods for HP gain in 4.6l 2003 ford explorer? And are all 4.6 motors compatible with stock transmission?

My biggest gain was from a tune as it was a 1/2 second improvement in the 1/4 mile. Otherwise, tune/CAI/cat-back exhaust will make these cars run pretty good.

You could also do cams with the tune, CAI, and exhaust.
