Hi everyone. I have been busy trying to get my explorer ready for the newly rebuilt tranny I am ordering. I have the exhaust off, the front and rear driveshafts done, transfer case out and am moving into the home stretch...
Did the starter tonight and went to get the TC (nuts) off the flexplate. Problem is that the plate takes a helluva effort to turn. I am averaging about one tooth every min. That is just nuts!!! Any ideas to help me finish the disassembly on this tranny? I know you are supposed to turn it clockwise.
If I end up getting more upset, I am going to get the old cutoff tool out and just take it all out on the converter housing.
(My rebuilt doesn't require an exchange.) Please help!!!
Thanks.
