2000 Explorer Sport has 92,000 miles. Bought it in 2010 in like new condition with 48,000 miles from an older gentleman who drove it on the highway <100 miles/week, using it strictly as a work vehicle.
Current problems are badly rusted rockers, leaking/rusted exhaust manifold on passenger side, and a roaring noise in the front differential that started a couple months ago. I plan on replacing the manifold myself in a week or so. Gotta find someone with better mechanic knowledge than me to take a closer look at the differential. I'm guessing a bad bearing is the culprit, which hopefully isn't too expensive to fix.
I'd also like to get the rockers repaired correctly, but with body shops around here quoting $1,200-1500, that's way more than I wanna spend. Guess I'm gonna have to find a cheaper fix. Other than some slight fading on the clear coat and the rusty rockers, when cleaned up, she looks like new inside and out:
