Hi all. This might be a silly question but how many PCV valves are on a 2016 explorer sport 3,5 turbo Eco boost? I'm changing the one on the passenger side by the firewall but I've been told there might be 2 PCV valves. Is this correct and if so where is the other one located? Thanks

There is only one, on the valve cover near the windshield, the part number is 6A666, and on the valve cover near the radiator, there is a valve that looks like the PCV valve, but it is straight-through and does not have the separation effect of the PCV.

Thanks, I thought one might be hidden.

Since you are there and you have a GDI engine, install an Oil Catch Can.

Thanks, I've thought about it but I live in NYS where the winters get frigid. I'm concerned about condensation build up in a catch can, freezing and plugging it up. I worry about blown seals. The pressure will find its weakest link to escape.

Empty to can regularly, MUCH better the spraying that blow by (oil) onto your intake valves with no gas and anything you put in the gas take washing over the intake valves.

True. Which can are you using or recommend? I was looking at the J&L ($$$$$), Evil Energy and the Ryanstar.

J&L have one for my Ecoboost Explorer and Taurus. Their mounting brackets are designed for the vehicle. It is not universal.
