Well it finally happened. I always hear of folks being stuck somewhere for hours or even days. This time, it was me. :thumbdwn: Me and a few buddies went snowshoeing on Sunday. The trip was going very well until it was time to get going home. As soon as I started turing around, thud, right in the ditch. Seven hours later a buddie showed up and pull me and the Dakota that got stuck trying to get me unstuck out. The center of the road is solid, the sides are powder, and its all even. :fire:

wow that looked like it sucked. Did you just fall into that hole or did you make the hole yourself :)

A little bit of both. Initially it sank by itself up to the front bumper. After stuffing various objects under the tires, destroying the factory jack, and bending a come-a-long, it was resting on the frame.

do you have pics of the stuck dodge? How did he manage that?

i second that.
that had to suck though, nice X, really clean.

if it makes you feel better i got stuck in the snow recently, quite more embarasing than yours. we use a snowblower to clear the hockey rink out here so it blows out fairly flat outside the rink. so i decide to check the ice condition and drive up next to the rink and wouldnt you know it i'm good and stuck (under the powder snow is a sheet of ice from the overflow while leveling the rink) and its not even up to my bumper! some tire studs would have kept that from happening but i'm not sure if they're legal in alberta...

haha, we all have our moments

chaka- no, I didn't take any pics of the Dodge. By that time everyone was pissed off and not thinking about any more pics. I wish I would have though. I caught him on his snowmobile and asked him if he had a truck. He said yes and returned with a stock Dakota with the same tires as my Ex. I knew we were doomed from there.

splash- that's what my '93 with 37" boggers is for. Wish I brought it this trip!

97- thanks for the compliments, and yes, it sucked ass.

Even my dog lookes pissed at me!

You bent a come-along? Wow. That is really stuck. How deep was it where your front tire got sucked in?

It was as deep as the rod used to lower the spare tire. It was almost all the way down when it hit solid ground. This happened at a kind of low elevation. I found may uses for that thing while we were there. Kind of a universal tool to me now.

Yup that is stuck.
A winch would nit be a huge help mounted on that front bumper on that day.

I am not sure big tires and a locker would get you out of that ditch :)
Snow is a PITA to get traction.
perhaps dual lockers, no sway bars and some chains, hahaha

You could also have two of your buddies ride that back bumper as you try to rock it free, but that sucker is stuck for sure!

Hey is that up by Snoqualmie pass? I'm from Sammamish so just curious cause it looks like the exit 38 area.

Off of Hwy 2 just east of Skykomish. It's Foss river road on the way to Tonga Ridge. FAR form the Hwy. :(

This is what pulled me out.

This is how I felt after seeing my beloved Ex getting yanked by a Heep.
