1. Open the box up, should look like this (minu the toolbox) & come with a bag of hardware

2. Wash your bed and dry it fully
3. Use T40 Torx to remove the 6 bed tiedowns (You don't have to remove the bed light and the power sockets, did it out of curiosity for what was behind) Note: These are in pretty good, and I stripped 2 heads in the process, there is alot of blue locktite. When you get to this step, you'll realize it's in better than you'd expect... be prepared to get a few extra bolts. Vacuum up loctite.

4. Remove 8 T20 bolts on the tailgate, you will leave the 4 in the picture

5. Place your tailgate cover (the one w/ cupholders) on top, and use 8 of the bolt/washer combos in the ahrdware bag, tighten til snug (it says 1 ft/lb I did snug)
6.

6. Take the front liner (the one w/ Ford on it), push it in at the front, it will sort of click... ish?
7. Tape the brackets to the bed (you can see the tape in the corner) Slide the bottom liner (the big one!) underneath the front liner and above the bracket.

8. Cut out your power points & lights (for the PP, use 1 3/4 hole saw ont he 4 corners, then use jigsaw to connect the ends (or use the jig the whole way, if youre so inclined!) (For the lights, use 1 1/8 and connect ends) (The hole saw is to get the 90 degree arcs on the edges of the cutout. It is a tangent line of sorts, here is a representative image)

9. Push these pieces into place, first push forward, then bend the edges under the rail, and the end (bump tab?) on the rear corners, bend udner the molding. Make sure the holes line up w/ the pushpin holes & tie downs

10. Use the pushpins and there should be 3 on each side, 4 on the front.
11. Install the 7mm bolt on the rear corner brackets.

12. Reinstall tie downs.
13. Look at the work you did!

Nice write up!
What’s the cost vs say a line x job?

Had good boy points from buying the truck & a coupon so it came out to $286+tax so $312. Greatprice IMO. This result is more than fine & if I gouge it can always get & install another one. Normal price is $550+tax.

My understanding is LinX usually runs you at least 600 or so, so considering the discount especially, it was a killer deal.

Next up is to figure out the toolbox situation (since the Amazon swingout wont fit withiur cutting and rewelding some brackets...)

Looks great .

These are just weird to me. I saw them for the F-150, and wasn't really feeling it. I was quoted $575 for LineX. I found a new/used Ford drop in for $150 on marketplace for the win.

Curious how this does over time.

Not too sure, but I figure at least if I gouge it I can just replace it, rather than respray etc. Also significantly cheaper. I have a feeling LineX might be a bit more durable since the plastic on this is on the thinner side, but we usually throw server racks, scrap wood (w/ or w/o nails), and odds & ends equipment in so its usually nothing heavy, just stuff with sharp edges, so I figure itll hold up ok for our use? Only time will tell!

Linex is $600-900
Depending on location prep needed and which linex product you get

The factory plastic Liners are awesome,
But you do not want trapped water underneath it or serious rust happens

Good point. I wonder with the modular liners if more water would get under, since the floor is seperate from the sides, and what not.

the earlier rangers are the worst! plastic liner, and no water drains.......when a ranger comes in with a plastic liner....first thing I do is check under it

I have been known to drill some holes in a ranger bed to add water drains........
I love this 24 ranger
we have a local retired couple he has a 24 Ranger Raptor I got to talk to him about it
400hp!!!!!

Even the 2.3 rips its super fast with the 10 speed I cant imagine 400 out of the 3.0 (I think its a 3.0?) The 2.7 was extremely fast let alone a 3.0!!!

You think the 2.3 is fast. Add the programer, and a throttle controler. I can still light the 34's up no problem in mine. It's a fun truck.

Woahhhhhhhh!!!!!!! Well, coming from a 300k SOHC, it's certainly really fast! That and a '92 Civic DX are the only metrics I have to go by for what Im accustomed to driving
