Because of this I figured I'd document the fix.

I supposed this is mostly for IZwack, since he's the only other one that I know has a newer Econoline. Or, anyone that may help out churches or summer camps with their vehicles. :D

Tools needed because Ford is lame:
• Phillips screw driver
• T-20 Torques bit (speaker)
• The ever handy 11mm socket.
• Small to average size hands.

Got a Kool Vue replacement mirror for a good deal from the place I bought the van from.

Remove the plastic piece.

The door panel needs to come off to get to the bottom bolt for the mirror. There are 4 phillips screws that hold it on. Slide the panel up, and it comes right off.

Now you're ready to unbolt the mirror. Remember (if your mirror is power) to unplug the mirror first. This is where the small to average size hands come in. The 4 11mm nuts come off and the mirror slides out.

Reverse the process to place the new mirror on. Make sure you don't have any extra parts, and you're done.

Is the Kool-Vue the same quality as the FoMoCo was?
